Ignore the pissing match. Ignore accusations that I'm not outraged about Russia - everyone is outraged.

Look at Sean's underlying message: That this event is sufficient to bring the mainstream muslim world to action, and previous events were not - a concept which Sean seems to agree with.

I think most Americans understand the time for outrage, the time for action was years before 9-11, though that day was the slap in the face that finally got us to understand just how dangerous the terrorist threat really was.

We live in a world where materials necessary to build nuclear bombs are missing, and access to biological weapons is relatively unguarded.

It is incredulous that Sean only now finds the events in Russia meet a standard heinous enough to understand that something needs to be done. He is years late, and the general muslim community has been severely deficient in its response to the ongoing slaughter.

I think Russia has understood the threat for years. Spain recently learned its lesson.

But for a lot of Europe, there's a smugness that something like this won't happen to them. I also suspect that with 9-11 there's an underlying satisfaction that America finally "got theirs" and that damage to a certain extent was deserved.

I contend that Seans threshold of pain is remarkably high, extremely inhuman, and cruelly insensitive.

The schoolhouse in Russia was not the beginning; rather it is yet another event in a long history of accelerating violence. I'm sure the goal of the terrorists is for the next to be worse.

That it takes 300 dead children for Sean and the muslim community to be shocked, to be called to action is beyond belief.
